Spirent TestCenter: Why are VM ports unavailable when using dpdk/passthrough?

Answer
Root Cause
The following .ova file was deployed :"Spirent TestCenter
Virtual Mini
, for Hypervisor - VMware", which does not support advanced features like dpdk/passthrough(DOC10037, page 46 for more information).
Fix
After deploying the VM with the "Spirent TestCenter Virtual Machine, for Hypervisor - VMware" .ova file, ports will become available.
