Why does the Avalanche Trial test fail, but my Avalanche full test is succesful, when I use a loadbalancer as the DUT

Answer

In most cases the trial test is used to help in the troubleshooting of a test and its network. However there are cases whereby the trial run option will not be helpful. One such case would be loadbalancing, where the loadbalancer must ping the server for a health check to verify that the servers are in an "up" state. In order to add or remove them from a loadbalanced cluster. In this instance Avalanche is connecting to the DUT and not the servers directly. Avalanche load generator sees that the endpoint is ready for the test traffic and will send it to the loadbalancer before the loadbalancer is able to add the Servers to a cluster. Since the loadbalancer does not see the servers before the traffic it sent, the Avalanche traffic will be unsuccessful. in a full test - time is allotted for the server to come to an "up" state and therefore the loadbalancer is able to pass the traffic to the servers - making the test successful
